Intamac uses Internet to help homeowners prevent flood damage

Alert System enables action to deal with effect of rising sea levels and more extreme weather conditions

Intamac Systems’ award winning Internet-based Home Manager service offers homeowners a new way of ensuring they are able to take immediate action protect their family and possessions in the event of flooding.

Yet for as little as £5 a month, homeowners can have an early warning system that ensures valuable time is available for family and possessions to be removed and for protection to be established through the construction of flood defence barriers around the home.

Flood detection sensors connected to the Intamac Home Manager service provide home owners with early warning of rising water levels. If water comes into contact with a flood sensor Home Manager raises the alarm by sending alert messages to up to six nominated contacts by telephone, SMS text message and email. All contacts are alerted simultaneously to ensure that somebody is always able to respond to the emergency.
