Intamac and KPN run trial in Holland
Intamac have secured a deal to run a camera monitoring trial with KPN, the major Dutch telecommunication company.
The trial, which will start in July under the name ‘Homewatch’, involves Intamac providing KPN with a ‘Planet Internet’ branded website interface, through which KPN customers can monitor and control broadband enabled cameras in their own home. The trial uses Linksys Wireless-G cameras, and allows customers to receive telephone, text and email alerts if their camera detects motion.
The development work involved Intamac creating a complete service translated into Dutch, including all website information and alert messages sent by voice, email and text message.
