The revolutionary new Home Alarm system from LOCKON was launched to customers in Denmark in November 2008. Using the latest variant of IP products and monitoring services developed by Intamac, the LOCKON proposition gives customers a whole new way of thinking about Domestic alarm systems.
The new IP Control unit is at the heart of the product – designed by Intamac for simple do-it-yourself installation, it connects directly to the broadband routerin the home. In the event of an alarm, you and up to five other contacts (colleagues, neighbors, friends or family, all a part of your personal neighbourhood watch network) can receive alert messages via phone call to a landline, e-mail, and SMS text message. An installation video guides customers through the online plug-and-play connection and registration process, after which the alarm system is automatically up and running, and the whole system can be managed via a personalized web account.

LOCKON is a new company, created by its two founders alongside NRGi, one of the largest utility companies in Denmark. NRGi has been delivering professional security solutions to commercial & business customers for many years, and is now using the technology platform created by Intamac to deliver self-install domestic alarm systems to homeowners across Denmark.
With retail prices for a basic home alarm system package starting at just DKK 995, the proposition is very competitively positioned. Monitoring service monthly subscription fees start from DKK 99, which includes support, online access and the neighbourhood watch technology.
LOCKON launches to market with a complete media campaign, including almost 500 prime-time television adverts, alongside traditional magazine print advertising and online coverage.
