Our
partners
We
are proud to partner companies who are leaders in their respective
industries:
BT
has commissioned Intamac to provide a system to help offer a range
of new services to BT customers. The partnership led to the launch
of the BT Home Monitor, an advanced security and reporting system
for the home. It is a revolutionary new wireless security system
that can be easily installed by the customer. The system automatically
connects to an internet based monitoring platform. This platform,
developed by Intamac, allows BT customers to monitor their home
remotely. In the event of an intruder, fire, panic attack or even
just a power failure – the homeowner and other contacts are
immediately notified via SMS text
message, voice call and e-mail.
Intamac has provided BT with a monitoring platform which can:
- deliver new services by simply
updating the web interface
- provide the basis for call centres
to deliver sales and technical support
- adapt to support new hardware
from different suppliers
- supply valuable and detailed
information on alarm use and activation

Intamac
worked closely with Linksys (part of Cisco Systems) to link their
wireless camera products to Intamac’s web monitoring service.
This offered a number of benefits to the existing camera design.
In particular, it simplifies use, improves security, and adds new
features. It also enables consumers to receive instant alerts by
phone, text message or email. Moreover, thanks to Intamac’s
technology, pictures can now be distributed via MMS to mobile phones.

Jacarta
are a UK based supplier of environmental alarm monitoring and notification
devices. They provide systems for industrial, retail, leisure, domestic
and office environments, as well as for IT server rooms and racks.
Operating in a competitive market, Jacarta were looking for a way
to differentiate their existing SP2 monitoring device from the competition.
The SP2 is an Ethernet device that monitors environments via an
existing computer network (LAN) by simply assigning it an IP address
and plugging in the sensors. On sensor activation, the SP2 raises
the alarm by email via the LAN. The search for competitive advantage
in their field led Jacarta to Intamac. Intamac were able to provide
an internet based Alert Centre which Jacarta customers access via
the website. Now the systems which Jacarta supply provide a much
more sophisticated approach to monitor alerts. By routing their
existing SP2 output to an Intamac-powered Jacarta platform, IT professionals
are able to determine who is alerted when the sensor is activated,
and how those messages are communicated. The alerting process ensures
key personnel are notified and that the alarm is acted upon via
an escalation and acknowledgement process. As there is no need to
change any hardware, the Intamac platform allows Jacarta to add
further equipment which is monitored by their Alert Centre. Since
the initial launch that is exactly what Jacarta have been able to
do, and will continue to do into the future.
